
Justin Bieber will be honored at Variety's fourth Power of Youth event, Oct. 24 on Paramount's backlot, for his commitment to Pencils of Promise. Pencils for Promise is an organization that works with local communities to build schools and increase educational opportunities around the world.
Justin's the first of the year's five honorees to be named. Past POY honorees include Keke Palmer, Jesse McCartney, AnnaLynne McCord, Corbin Bleu and Miranda Cosgrove.

Justin broke the news on Twitter Monday that Paramount will make a 3D concert and biopic based on his career. Justin's manager Scooter Braun, singer Usher and Island Def Jam Music Group chairman LA Regid will produce alongside the singer, who is also launching his own production company.
